Efficiency
The optimal absorptance and emittance values inherent to the selective coating make it ideally suited to efficient and economical domestic hot
water systems or any other solar thermal application. The low emittance and high absorptance of our product is comparable with the more
expensive sputter coatings in overall system efficiency.Collectors manufactured with our absorbers have also achieved the Sola Keymark Cer
-tificate for efficiency.
Coating
The black chrome coating consists of an initial layer of nickel and a final layer of black chromium, continuously electroplated on a copper sub
-strate.The nickel layer is 1,000 nm thick and is purely metallic. The black chromium layer is 300nm thick and consists of a mixture of metallic
chromium and chromium oxides.The continuous coil coating lines ensure excellent uniform optical properties and a homogenous dark black co
-lor.
Durability
The durability of our product is unsurpassed. The composition of the coating and its components-nickel, chromium and chromium oxide-
are very stable materials and are responsible for corrosion resistance. The chromium oxide forms its own protective layer with a surface chemi
-stry similar to stainless steel.Due to it's composition and the 3,000 nm thick nickel underlay, it is resistant to possible precipitates of gas emissi
-ons from insulation and processing materials like solder pastes and fluxes.
The nickel underlay performs the dual role of aging and degradation protection of the black coating as well as protecting the copper sheet from
corrosion. This protective nickel underlay is 15 to 25 times thicker than the complete thickness of most vacuum coatings.

Processing
Our product can be processed with all currently available bonding techniques to produce absorber plates and fins.Ultrasonic welding, plasma we
-lding, laser welding (from the front side with cw-laser or the backside with a pulsed laser), high frequency welding, soft soldering,crimping and
roll forming are all compatible methods.Our product is further suitable for deep drawing, stamping and bending with very small radii.
Environmentally responsible
Unlike newer sputter coating technologies, our product uses a traditional wet chemical galvanic process. Much has been said about the inherent
environmental disadvantages of these types of processes as compared to newer sputter technology.However, we operates a fully permitted envir
-onmentally responsible facility.In China,State of the art air and water discharge control devices ensure that our process causes no pollution or
damage to the environment.All by-products from the process are 100% recycled.
Quality
During the coating process, continuous visual inspections and measurements of solar absorptance and thermal emittance every 60 meters, ensures
the high quality of our product. Further adhesion and heating tests are performed regularly.The high quality and durability of our product enables
us to offer our customers a limited 10-year warranty.
We warrants to the original purchaser that this product shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal and proper use for a period of ten (10) years after the original date of purchase, subject to the limitations set forth below.
During this warranty, we warrants that the optical properties will remain within ten percent (10%) of its specifications for Solar Absorptance and
Thermal Emittance at the time of manufacture. We maintain baseline Solar Absorptance specifications of 95%+/-2% as measured and baseline
Thermal Emittance specifications of 12%+/-2%.
