The kit is mainly used for evaluating the secretory function of male epididymis, and for topical diagnosis of obstructive azoospermia.
Features:
1. An improved method based on WHO technology and it is more rapid and convenient in test with stable results comparing to traditional Cooper method.
2. Operation in the microplate. Fast and easy-to-use.
3. Available for automatic and semiautomatic tests, good for standardization of test.
4. It is ready for use and easy to handle.
5. 40 tests per kit and meet the need of batch testing.
Applications in clinic:
For the cases bilateral ejaculatory-duct obstruction, congenital agenesis of seminal vesicle or dysplasia, extremely low total content of neutral alpha-glucosidase in seminal plasma, and the cases suffering from the epididymitis, incomplete ejaculation or frequent ejaculation, decreased neutral alpha-glucosidase level in seminal plasma.
The neutral alpha-glucosidase, combined with other detection indicators (such as seminal plasma fructose), may help the topical diagnosis for the obstructive site of patients with obstructive azoospermia.
The neutral alpha-glucosidase in seminal plasma is one of evaluation indicators of epididymis secretory function, and it is more specific and sensitive compared with other evaluation indicators including L-Carnitine and glycerophosphocholine. As the sperm maturation occurs in the epididymis, the decline of epididymis secretory function may make adverse effects on the sperm motility and functions.
