Pour Point Depressant

Crude oil and heavy fuel oils can have relatively high pourpoints due to paraffins present. The pourpoint is the temperature at which the fluid becomes “solid”. These high pourpoints can cause all kind of problems especially during transport through pipelines. Mining and transportation of heavy oil in the process, because the higher viscosity and freezing point, wasting a lot of production and distribution of energy, and the results are not satisfactory.

   With our PPD´s (Pour Point Depressants) we can reduce this pourpoint importantly in order to ensure safe transport of these type of oils. Also, these PPD´s can act as a paraffin-inhibitor, preventing wax precipitation inside “water-dry” crude oil pipelines. SL-PPD Pour Point Depressant can effectively reduce the pour point and viscosity of heavy oil, is conducive to the use of the production process.
