Product Features: Good chemical resistance. Excellent electrical properties. When burned, silicone rubber leaves a non-conducting ash, which retains excellent qualities so that continued operation is possible to achieve a controlled shutdown. Fungus resistance. Silicone rubber contains no chlorine or other halogens; therefore, the products of combustion are considerably less toxic and corrosive than materials made from chlorinated hydrocarbons.
Recommended applications: Silicone rubber insulated cables are used whenever high levels of heat resistance are required, in household appliances, heating and lighting equipment, steel works, rolling mills and foundries, glass and ceramic factories.
