Deutetrabenazine
China [CN] Tetrabenazine-d6, also named Dutetrabenazine with CAS No.1392826-25-3, molecular formula C19H27NO3 and molecular weight 317.43, is a white to off-white solid deuterated pharmaceutical reference compound. It features a melting point of 126–127°C, sparingly soluble in chloroform and slightly soluble in heated methanol, and requires refrigerated storage for stability. As a stable isotope-labeled analog of tetrabenazine, it reversibly inhibits VMAT2 to reduce central monoamine levels, serving as internal standard and research reagent for HPLC-MS quantitative analysis, pharmacokinetic studies, and neurological drug research targeting Huntington’s disease, an inherited neurodegenerative disorder characterized by involuntary choreiform movements and cognitive impairment.
