Isacco compared more than 10 hydraulic manifold factories. No manufacturer can achieve the light hydraulic manifold with pressure resistance of 450MPa, and AAK successfully completed the sample at one time. At the beginning of last year, Isacco’s company developed an aviation hydraulic power unit, which is the first time for SICMI company to try aviation equipment. Their customer specially mentioned that the hydraulic manifold should withstand a high pressure of more than 450MPa, especially pay attention to the weight of the hydraulic valve block, because the aviation equipment has strict restrictions on the weight of each part, and this hydraulic valve block must be made of ultra light aluminum.
Isacco got the purchase list of hydraulic manifolds. First, he contacted the current hydraulic manifold manufacturers. Only 3 manufacturers agreed to try samples, and other manufacturers gave up. 1 month later, Isacco successively received the hydraulic manifold samples. After installation and commissioning, the high pressure resistance test of the hydraulic manifolds from 2 factories failed. Although the pressure resistance test of the hydraulic manifold of the 3rd factory was successful, its weight was more than 20% higher. Isacco asked the 3rd hydraulic manifold manufacturer to re-sample, but the manufacturer advised that 7075 aviation aluminum is the lightest material. Isacco had to look for new hydraulic manifold manufacturers again. He contacted more than 10 hydraulic manifold manufacturers successively, but there was basically no feedback.
Isacco left a message on AAK website: Does AAK have lighter materials than 7075 aviation aluminum to produce hydraulic valve blocks? With this message, we understand that this hydraulic manifold should be used in aviation, not only light, but also resistant to high pressure above 450MPa. According to the hydraulic manifold drawings and working condition requirements provided by Isacco, frankly speaking, our engineers have no ideas, because 7075 aviation aluminum is the preferred material for our production of high-pressure hydraulic valve blocks.
AAK hydraulic valve just likes the development instructions given by customers, which are not involved in AAK before. We are willing to cooperate with Isacco to crack a hard nut of this hydraulic manifold. AAK spent more than 2 months comparing aluminum materials for 12 times and selecting a material lighter than 7075 aviation aluminum after trying samples for 3 times. Isacco received AAK hydraulic manifolds and conducted pressure test. One week later, Isacco asked about the production time of 600 hydraulic manifolds and told us that AAK was the only hydraulic manifold manufacturer that passed the test, with a pressure of 450Mpa and a weight that met the requirements.
