Winstrol - Stanazol is a very commonly used anabolic steroid for cutting cycles. While many people will attempt to use Dianabol or even Anadrol for cutting cycles, Ive really never heard of anyone using Stanazol for anything except a cutting cycle. Its a bit of a one-trick-pony in this respect. Let me repeat that: Stanazol is a cutting drug. Not many people will argue for its use in a bulking cycle. Its certainly not a very effective compound for treating anemia (1) and thus, one could rightly assume that its role in bulking cycles is very limited. One novel use for Winstrol in any cycle (perhaps even bulking) would be to use it at a very limited dose, in order to lower SHBG. (2) One of the properties of Winstrol is its profound ability to lower SHBG much more than other steroids. A dose of .2mg/kg lowered SHBG significantly, which would in turn, raise the amount of free testosterone circulating in the body. As with 99% of steroids, however, its important to note that suppression of your natural hormonal levels will occur (though perhaps not to the extent that it will with many other steroids).(10) As with running virtually any compound, testosterone supplementation (i.e. running test in a cycle containing Winstrol) is warranted to avoid possible sexual dysfunction.
Applications:
Winstrol is the trade name for the anabolic steroid Stanazol . This is the third most popular and widely used anabolic steroid in all history and in the whole world. The first most popular anabolic steroid is Dianabol (Methandrostenolone), second most popular is Nandrolone Decanoate (Deca Durabolin), and the third most popular is Stanazol In particular, Winstrol is the anabolic steroid best known for its supposed use by Canadian Olympic sprinter Ben Johnson when he was tested positive for this compound in the 1988 Seoul Summer Olympic Games. Winstrol's information was first documented, published, and released in 1959. Shortly thereafter, Winthrop Laboratories located in the United Kingdom manufactured it into a prescription drug for use, and in 1961 Sterling in the United States purchased the patent for the drug. Shortly thereafter, it was then released onto the North American market and given the brand name label of Winstrol.
The structural changes made to DHT that give us Stanozolol Winstrol reduce the hormone's androgenicity dramatically and greatly increase its anabolic activity. Stanozolol Winstrol carries an Anabolic Rating of 320 and an Androgenic Rating of 20 and real life use will match up to these structural ratings very well.
The functions and traits of Stanozolol Winstrol are numerous and can be best understood by looking at each one individually:
1.Reduction of SHBG:Stanozolol Winstrol has the ability to significantly reduce Sex-Hormone-Binding-Globulin (SHGB). In fact, data has shown Stanozolol Winstrol can reduce SHBG by as much as 50% making it one of the most effective medications available for such a function. SHBG is one of the primary factors that determine how muchtestosterone in the body is free or bound; higher SHBG means less free testosterone, which represents our active and usable testosterone. When SHBG is lowered more testosterone is available for use. Equally important for the steroid user is that other steroids that may be used are more effective when SHBG is lower.
2. Protein Synthesis:Protein synthesis refers to the rate in which cells build proteins, the building block of muscle tissue. With Stanozolol Winstrol the rate of protein synthesis is increased.
3. Nitrogen Retention: All muscle tissue is comprised of 16% nitrogen and when adequate amounts are not retained we enter into a catabolic (muscle wasting) state. Higher rates of nitrogen retention results in a greater anabolic (muscle building) state.
4. Red Blood Cells:
Red blood cells are responsible for carrying oxygen through the blood. Stanozolol Winstrol will increase red blood cell count resulting in greater oxygen flow and thereby enhanced muscular endurance.
5. Glucocorticoids:
Glucocorticoids (stress hormones) often referred to as muscle wasting hormones (cortisol is the most well known) promote fat gain and muscle loss. Stanozolol Winstrol inhibits glucocorticoids. It will not remove all from your body and you do need some for health reasons, but too much can be problematic. The reduction in glucocorticoids by Stanozolol Winstrol is not as significant as many other anabolic steroids, but it's still a trait the steroid possesses.
Effects of Winstrol:
Winstrol is not what we'd call a bulking steroid. You will rarely find this steroid in an off-season mass gaining stack. However, it could be used in an effort to enhance the activity of the other steroids being used due to the strong SHBG reduction it will provide but this is generally not recommended. When we dive into the side effects of Winstrol, we will find it is very hepatotoxic and use should be limited to when it's most valuable. For the male athlete, this will not be during the bulking phase. When it comes to off-season bulking, we could make more of an exception with female use. The effects of Winstrol are undoubtedly most beneficial to direct performance enhancement of an athletic nature. We're talking about functional competitive athletes, not bodybuilders or physique athletes. This steroid has the ability to greatly increase strength and this can translate into both power and speed. Further, it will accomplish this without adding a lot of additional weight that could hinder some depending on the sport, as well as cause unwanted attention from prying eyes. There have been those who have said Winstrol isn't good for competitive athletes, especially those athletes in explosive sports due to potential weakening of the tendons but this is more or less message board anecdotal hysteria that supports this claim. In fact, many studies have shown it can have a positive impact on strengthening tendons and we already know it's good for the bones. If not, it wouldn't be used to treat osteoporosis. Beyond athletics, the gym rat or bodybuilding effects of Winstrol will be best displayed once you're already somewhat lean. The steroid will help produce a dryer, harder look but only if you're relatively lean. It will also aid in lean tissue preservation but not to a very strong degree that's often needed in such a phase.
