Main Products:
Orthopedic Casting Tape is made of knitted fiberglass or polyester fabric impregnated with water-activated polyurethane resin. It mainly used for the external fixation of fracture and common orthopedics.
Orthopedic Splint is made of several layers’ fiberglass fabric or polyester fabric impregnated with water-activated polyurethane resin and upper and lower non-woven fabric. It normally used in the early days of the fracture, when the fixed part has trauma or swelling. 
They are the upgraded and replaced products of the traditional Plaster of Paris (POP).

Product Advantages
1. Easy operating to reduce the workload of doctors.
Fiberglass Cast and Splint are used under the room temperature. The whole operation can be completed in a short time (about 3 minutes), which not only eases the workload of doctors, but also saves the time of operation.
2. Moulding fast
Fiberglass Cast and Splint begin to be solidified after opening the package and being water-soaked. In 20 minutes they can bear weight. The fast molding reduces patients' affliction or suffering while the POP needs more hours to complete solidification.
3. High strength and light weight
Fiberglass Cast and Splint are 20 times strength, only 1/5 weight and 1/3 thickness of POP, which help to fix broken part with little bearing, and also improve local blood circulation to promote healing.
4. Excellent air permeability
The unique knitted net structure make the Cast many mini holes on the surface to keep good air ventilation and prevent the skin from getting damp, hot and pruritus. This is very important, because many patients may suffer from the skin disease and allergic reaction when they use the POP.
5. Excellent X-ray radiolucency
Excellent X-ray radiolucency makes it convenient to take X-ray photos and examine the bone healing without removing the Cast and Splint. If the patients use POP, doctors need to remove it when patients need the X-ray examination, and the process of removing must cause great troubles to doctors and much suffering to patients.
6 .Water resistant
The absorbed percent of moisture is 85% less than POP. Because there are many mini holes on the Cast surface, the surface tension will make the water away. Even if touches the water, it still can keep bandage dry.
7. Various Specifications
The products will satisfy different needs of injured parts and color-preference for different ages.
8. Cost
For the same injured part, roll consumption of fiberglass Cast is less than using POP. For example, 1 roll of 3inch or 4inch Cast for forearm is enough while 2 or 3 rolls of 4inch POP are necessary; and 1 roll of 4inch or 5inch Cast for Shank is enough while 5 rolls of 6inch POP are necessary.

Cast Operation
1. Use the protective padding or stockinet on the fixed part
2. Wear surgical gloves, select the roll of proper size
3. Immerse the cast in room temperature water (21-24℃) for 4-6 seconds and squeeze it 2-3 times
4. Wrap spirally, overlapping the previous layer by one-half or two-thirds the width of the roll
5. Smooth and rub the surface to achieve good contact between layers
6. Cast removal: cutting by an electric cast saw

Splint Specification

Splint Operation
1. Select proper size of splint according to different parts of body
2. Open the package, immerse the splint in room temperature water (21-24℃) for 4-6 seconds and squeeze it 2-3 times
3. Take it out and squeeze or wipe out excess water by using dry towel.
4. Use the splint to cover the fixed part and wrap it by gauze bandage or elastic bandage to secure and mold it freely.
5. Splint can be removed with common scissors.
Splint Packing

Precautions
1. When use Cast, the operator should wear gloves to avoid the polyurethane touching and adhering the skin. When the operator is stuck by polyurethane resin, please wipe it out with cotton swab with acetone. No need to wear gloves when use Splint.
2. Check bag without any breakage. Exposure to moisture or water initiates a chemical reaction that causes the fine product to become rigid. Do not use the product that feels hard.
3. Open one bag at one time and use the product immediately. Don't open multi-bags at the same time so that to avoid weakening the strength.
4. Ansen Cast & Splint should be stored in a cool, dry and ventilated atmosphere. The proper temperature is 15-30℃ and the humidity should be less than RH60%.
5. All applications of these products should be followed according to instructions of doctors or qualified medical professionals.
6. Production date is marked on bag. The shelf life is 2 years from the date of production.
