Detailed Description

HVTS-70/50 is designed for high-voltage testing of solid dielectrics with low and medium electric capacitance (power cables, switchgear, surge arresters, busbars, insulators, etc.) with DC (rectified) voltage up to 70 kV and high-voltage testing of other objects with AC voltage up to 50 kVRMS at industrial frequency (f = 50 Hz).

The system can be used for both field and laboratory testing.

VERSATILITY
The system features both DC (rectified) and AC output voltage modes, which allows testing electrical equipment according to various standards using only HVTS-70/50 system.

Output voltage mode is selected by pressing a button on the control unit - no additional equipment installation such as rectifier etc. is required.

MANUAL AND AUTOMATIC CONTROL MODES
The system allows to carry out tests in both fully automatic and manual control modes.

In the manual mode, the output voltage level and ramp up rate are controlled by the operator via a rotary encoder.

In the automatic mode, the test voltage is automatically increased at pre-defined ramp up rate and is held on the required level before being reduced to zero upon completion of the test cycle.

Switching between control modes is done by simple push of a button.

DIGITAL CONTROL
HVTS-70/50 systems feature a digital graphic display indicating all the test settings and operating parameters.

A graphical menu provides such advantages as multilingual user interface, test reports viewing, saving test pre-sets, etc.

TWO-MODULE DESIGN

The system comprises of two separate modules: the control unit and the high-voltage unit.

The test process is controlled from the control unit while an object under test is connected to the high-voltage unit.

Such two-module design allows an operator to remain at a safe distance away from the high-voltage circuit and the object under test.

TEST REPORTS STORAGE
Detailed results of each test are saved in the non-volatile memory of the system.

Test reports can be viewed from the control unit’s display.

BUILT-IN DISCHARGE DEVICE

The high-voltage unit is equipped with an automatic grounding device – an auxiliary protective solution for discharging an object under the test and the high-voltage circuit of the system.

PORTABLE TEST SYSTEM
Small weight, compact size and portable design of both units of the system enable rapid deployment, quick reconnection and operational comfort during the field testing.

The system can be supplemented with a convenient trolley for easy transportation.

OIL INSULATION

The high-voltage unit contains a step-up transformer with oil insulation which works reliably under almost any conditions and does not require extra care or special maintenance.
