The power supply equipment of new energy electric vehicles refers to the externally connected charging equipment for charging plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and pure electric vehicles, including AC voltage charging connector equipment and DC charging equipment of electric vehicles. The electric power is transmitted to the vehicle through the charging cable conforming to the specification to achieve the purpose of full energy.
For the type 1 and type 2 of the charging connector, what are the specifications and standards that the selected charging cable needs to meet? Of course, there are many specifications and standards applicable to the charging cable. At present, there are four international standards for DC high-speed charging, namely, CCS Type 1 (CCS 1 for short) in the US, CCS Type 2 (CCS 2 for short) in the European, CHAdeMO in the Japanese and GB/T in China. The four international standards use different interface specifications and system communication protocols, which are not directly compatible with each other. Of course, there are DC and AC charging cables.
The general electrical specifications and communication assistance between ccs1 and CCS2 are the same, and the main difference lies in the difference of connectors. CCS1 is bundled with J1772 connector of American standard AC slow charging, while the AC slow charging connector of CCS2 is European standard IEC 62196-2 Type 2.
