Elade Anodes Features:
Elade Coated Titanium Anodes are a low-energy titanium mesh solution designed to replace traditional cast or cold rolled lead anodes. Suitable for both new and existing EW operations, the special design features a titanium metal substrate with a fully amorphous oxide coating. This coating not only enables a significant reduction in cell voltage compared to standard lead anodes or crystalline-coated titanium anodes, but it also prevents precipitation of undesirable impurities such as manganese and lead oxides.
Lead anodes present challenges for EW operations in the form of handling and disposing of lead waste. Cells have to be cleaned by operators to remove lead sludge build-up, which can pose a health and safety risk. Our titanium anode technology eliminates this requirement.
Unlike lead anodes, coated titanium anodes do not need to be stabilized by adding cobalt sulfate to the electrolyte. Eliminating cobalt from your EW process reduces your operational costs, and with titanium anodes there is a reduced need to electrically isolate the cells, which increases plant availability and productivity.
